Mother's Day Gift

My family thought long and hard on what would be the perfect Mother's Day gift to give me. After hours and hours of deliberating; they came up with the perfect gift!

Yea right! Now for the REAL story! I saw this baby on sale...I got it and told them it could be my Mother's Day gift. Lol!

Isn't it beautiful?!

The other curling iron was quickly dumped in the trash. Thank goodness!

Striving to be...

I find myself striving to be different things at different times.
1. A good, loving wife! (That doesn't nag too much!)
2. A Mom that appreciates and loves all that her children has to offer! (Even if it is presented with a whine or sticky fingers)
3. A Mom that accepts that being a teenager is difficult and that sometimes I really do NOT understand! (Even when it's said with a eye roll!)
4. A friend that always listens and has an encouraging word for those difficult times! (Even if it is offering ways we can hunt the offender down and "Lay hands on them!".....I mean that in the most Christian way...of course!;-)
5. A housewife that enjoys making her home clean and beautiful! (Even if it is picking up the dirty socks for the thousandth time!)
6. A frugal gazelle intense Dave Ramsey follower! (Even though I really really wanted to buy that (fill in blank) at Target!)
7. A bargain hunter and coupon clipper. (Even when I would rather just throw the groceries in my cart!)

But, most of all.......I want to be ALL that my Lord and Savior has intended me to be.
